A duo creating cinematic, documentary-driven imagery for intimate celebrations.
The ones that feel more like the people getting married than a collection of traditions.
A small gathering in the countryside. An elopement somewhere far from home. A long table, good food, a mountain road, a slightly chaotic dance floor. Whatever the day looks like, we want to photograph and film it as it actually felt — not turn it into something it wasn't.
Our work sits somewhere between documentary photography and cinema. We look for atmosphere, movement, connection and the moments you probably weren't thinking about while they were happening.
We work across France and Europe, and travel worldwide for destination celebrations.
If you feel the pull of the wild, wanting to strip away the noise of a traditional wedding to exchange vows with just the wind as your witness—we created a dedicated space just for you. Discover Vowhalla - Elopement Experiences
From France to Italy, Switzerland, Iceland and beyond, we have documented celebrations for couples who came from near and far.
We are Clovis & Theeda, a husband-and-wife photography and filmmaking duo. Working side-by-side allows us to offer a seamless photo and video experience with a single, consistent artistic vision.
Our work blends intentional, documentary storytelling with a warm, slightly retro aesthetic inspired by classic cinema and our own love for travel. We are drawn to what is real—the subtle gestures you didn't realize happened, the atmosphere of a place, and the unique way it holds your story.

France is home base, but we rarely stay in one place for long. From the countryside and vineyards of Provence and Dordogne to the Mediterranean coast and the French Alps, we photograph celebrations across the country.
Beyond France, we follow our couples wherever the story takes them — through the mountains of Switzerland, the landscapes of Iceland, the Dolomites of Italy, and further across Europe.
If you're coming to Europe from somewhere else, or simply crossing a border for a place that feels more like you, we're always happy to go with you.
Your wedding isn’t a photoshoot.
It’s a day you get to live fully.

“Couldn’t have been happier with our choice of these wedding photographers! Theeda and Clovis are super lovely, very discreet and the communication beforehand was 100% smooth. Most importantly, the pictures turned out beautiful - we are having a very hard time choosing the best ones to print!
10000% recommend!”
“Looking for a phenomenal photography or your wedding day then congratulations because you have just come across Seiji Mori Studio and you've hit the money maker.
I cannot recommend these two enough. Tom and I got married in the Dordorgne area in France and we wanted more than just those typical candid shots that you see at most weddings (although beautiful in their own right of course). We wanted an edge and this was it; we are so happy with the results.
I need to mention how Clovis and Theeda were everywhere but never seen. They snapped photos without guests knowing and captured such good content and treasured memories. Yet, when we needed direction or advice they were there offering such professional help throughout the whole day.”
“My husband and I worked with Clovis & Theeda for our vow renewal in Lyon, and I genuinely cannot say enough wonderful things about them. From our very first interaction, their communication was thoughtful, warm, and professional. Planning something so personal from another country could have easily felt stressful, but they made the entire experience feel effortless and comfortable from beginning to end.
What stood out most to us was not only their incredible talent, but also their presence as people. Since our vow renewal was intentionally very intimate, just the two of us with them, the dynamic could have felt awkward or overly staged with the wrong photographers. Instead, they brought such warmth, calmness, flexibility, and ease to the experience that it honestly felt like spending time with people who genuinely cared about helping us create a meaningful memory together.
If you are considering working with them, do it! Beyond being extraordinarily talented photographers, they create an experience that feels personal, intentional, and deeply human. We will treasure these photos forever.!”
FAQ
Yes. Our work is focused on elopements and intimate weddings, primarily across France and Europe, with destination celebrations further afield.
We prefer smaller celebrations where there is room to be present, move around, and pay attention to the people and place rather than managing a large production.
If you're planning something with just the two of you or a smaller group, that's very much our kind of wedding.
Not at all. Most people aren't used to having a camera around them all day.
We won't ask you to pose constantly or perform for the camera. When a little direction helps, we'll give it — otherwise, we'll let things happen naturally.
The less you think about being photographed, the better.
France is home base, and we regularly work across Europe — from the French countryside and Mediterranean coast to the Alps, Italy, Switzerland and Iceland.
We also travel internationally for destination elopements and intimate weddings.
No. Photography can be booked on its own, or together with videography.
When both are booked, we work side-by-side with the same visual approach, so the photographs and film feel like parts of the same story.
Our usual delivery times are:
Photo previews: within 1 week
Full photo gallery: 6–8 weeks
Film: 12–16 weeks
You'll receive a first glimpse shortly after the wedding while we work on the full collection.
Most couples book around 6–18 months ahead. Popular dates, particularly between May and October, tend to go first.
That said, if your date is closer, it's always worth asking.
For elopements, yes. We can help you think through locations, timing, light, logistics and how the different parts of the day can come together.
For intimate weddings, we can help with the photography and film side of the timeline, but for larger logistical planning we recommend working alongside a wedding planner.
